If it involves electronics then I am doomed

On Saturday I was sitting next to a lovely rock pool in the Tugela River watching Ewan play in the water. He was being ultra cute so I reached for camera to take a snap. Thats when the week of bad electronics started. The screen had a black band across it and well basically its stuffed. End of photo taking session. I bought this camera two months ago in New York so you can understand why this all came as a bit of a shock. The damned thing is brand new. Its a Pentax Optio WG 1 which means that I spent a lot more money then a standard point and shoot because it is dust proof, shockproof and water proof. Apparently the stress of being in a nice camera case on the ground was a bit too much for the poor camera. I am slightly no change that hugely pissed off. To add to all this I have the proof of its warranty plan but I can't find the reciept. I am just hoping it didn't get tossed in the trash at some point. So for now all pics on this site will not come from my camera.

About an hour ago I was sitting in this same spot editing a chapter on my novel when the computer shows a lovely blue screen then shut down and restarts. So for the last hour I have been emailing all my work to myself on Google. I have had a similar thing happen with a previous laptop and within a week it had breathed its last. Sadly it took all of my work with it. Yes I know I should back up and save more often and not just believe that my hard drive will keep going.

So hopefully thats all the electronic stuff thats going to give up on me this week. I am getting an new phone soon but I would prefer it if my current one kept working till then. Otherwise I am going back to the dark ages you know BC before computers:)
